Altovix was created by James Skene with a clear purpose: to build a serious investment platform while creating real opportunities for young people to gain practical experience in markets, trading, artificial intelligence, and portfolio management.
The goal is to build Altovix properly, step by step. This means developing a real process, building a track record over time, learning before scaling, and eventually creating a platform where young people in the community can gain practical finance experience.
Foundation
Why Altovix Exists
Altovix exists because James Skene wanted to build something of his own and make a real impact. The company started from a personal passion for markets, trading, portfolio management, and the challenge of learning how to manage capital with discipline.
James is especially interested in the S&P 500, NASDAQ, swing trading, market psychology, risk management, and long-term portfolio growth. Over time, Altovix is intended to become a platform where these interests are developed into a real investment process.
Altovix is also about opportunity. Finding meaningful internships and hands-on finance experience can be extremely difficult, especially for students who do not already have strong connections. Altovix is being built to eventually help close that gap by giving young people exposure to markets, research, portfolio management, and investment discipline.

What I've Done So Far
Altovix is still in the foundation-building stage, but important steps have already been taken. Last summer, James incorporated Altovix Capital Inc. and began turning the idea into a real company. The early focus has been on building the company identity, developing the website, shaping the investment philosophy, and creating a long-term plan for how Altovix can grow from an idea into a real operating platform.
Through Michael Skene's connections, James was also able to find early office space in downtown Vancouver. This helped give Altovix a more serious foundation and created a physical connection to the city and community the company is tied to.
James has opened an OANDA account and is currently focused on paper trading. This stage is important because the goal is to learn, test, document, and improve before moving into larger real-money investing.

Roadmap
The Realistic Altovix Timeline
Company Foundation
James incorporated Altovix Capital Inc. and began turning the idea into a real company. This phase was about creating the legal foundation, defining the purpose, finding early downtown Vancouver office space through Michael Skene's connections, and beginning to think seriously about Altovix as both an investment platform and a community opportunity platform.
Brand, Website, and Investment Philosophy
This stage is about building the public face and intellectual foundation of Altovix. James is developing the website, writing out the company's purpose, shaping the investment philosophy, studying markets, and organizing the company around research, discipline, and long-term portfolio thinking.
Paper Trading and Process Building
James has opened an OANDA account and is using paper trading to build discipline, test ideas, and learn how to manage risk before putting larger amounts of real money into the market. The focus is on the S&P 500, NASDAQ, swing trading setups, trade review, risk/reward, stop losses, and emotional discipline.
AI, Certifications, and Skill Development
Summer 2026 is the key preparation phase. James plans to improve his technical, analytical, and AI-driven skills so Altovix can become more organized, data-driven, and useful to the community. The goal is to use artificial intelligence as a tool for research, trade review, education, organization, and better decision-making.
Careful Real-Money Testing
After enough paper trading and review, the next step is to begin testing real-money investing carefully. This should start small, with controlled risk, proper position sizing, clear trade review, and a focus on discipline before profit.
Building the Altovix Learning System
Once the process is more developed, James plans to turn the research and trading framework into something that can be taught responsibly. This means creating beginner-friendly lessons, research templates, trade review templates, and basic risk management material.
First Internship-Style Program
The major goal is to have a real Altovix product, process, and internship-style experience ready by summer 2027. By then, Altovix should have a clearer investment philosophy, documented trading and research process, improved website, early performance tracking, and a structured way for young people to learn.
Portfolio Management and Community Impact
Long term, James wants Altovix to become his own portfolio management platform. The goal is to build passive income, manage capital with discipline, explore opportunities in public markets, crypto, swing trading, and alternative investment areas, while continuing to create opportunities for young people.

Summer 2026 Learning Plan
Summer 2026 is about building the skill set behind the vision. Before Altovix can grow into a real product or internship platform, James needs to continue building market knowledge, technical skill, data ability, artificial intelligence knowledge, and a more disciplined trading process.

Bloomberg Certified
James has completed Bloomberg certification, building a stronger foundation in financial markets, economic indicators, equities, fixed income, currencies, options, and portfolio management. This gives Altovix a stronger base for research, market analysis, and future training materials.

A lot of internships require experience before students have had the chance to gain any. Altovix is meant to eventually become a place where young people can get that first real exposure.
